I am a graduate student in the computer science department at Rice University. I have undergraduate degrees in mathematics and computer science from Rice and previously studied computer science at Trinity College, Cambridge on the Abraham–Broad Scholarship. I recently received a Gates Scholarship to return to Cambridge for a PhD.
My research interests include operating systems, architectures, security, distributed systems, networking, programming languages, and technology policy. I'm also interested in ways that computer systems can be applied to work on humanitarian and societal issues such as supporting a large global population, protecting the environment, defending human rights, and improving global health. I am actively seeking collaborations with organizations working on these issues.
